23 Feb Year 5 Visit the Science Museum
Year 5 have been learning about Space with a focus on our Solar System.
The children were able to visit the space exploration centre whilst developing their understanding of the topic. It was fantastic to see them so excited when embedding the knowledge they have learnt over the term.
The children were able to see a full-sized replica of ‘Eagle’, the lander that took astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the Moon in 1969. They then discovered how we are able to live in space; to breathe, eat, drink and go to the toilet. Alongside this, they explored all of the planets in our solar system whilst completing drawings and fact files to record new information discovered.
